The work

Four ways the crane earns its keep

These are the four services Lagniappe TreeWorks publishes, in the shop's own words. Experienced climbers are on staff for the trees a machine cannot reach from the ground, and every job ends with the debris gone. Stump grinding is not on the standing list.

01

Robotic Tree Removal

Along with experienced climbers on staff for when we cannot work from the ground, we offer robotic tree removal. We use a crane that expertly removes limbs as well as trees that are hard for us to reach otherwise. With cranes ranging from 65 to 150 feet, tight and confined areas are not a problem.

02

Tree Removal

We never like to get rid of a tree, but sometimes it is necessary for one to come down. We dispose of trees in a careful and efficient manner, minimizing waste and invasiveness in your landscape. We arrive on time, protect your property and plants during the process, and clean up any debris left over.

03

Tree Trimming

Trimming serves two purposes: hazard reduction and maintenance. Hazard reduction gets rid of branches that might compromise the structural integrity of the tree. Maintenance makes your tree healthier and more aesthetically pleasing. We offer both with state-of-the-art equipment and a professional eye for what needs to be done.

04

Emergency Service

We offer 24 hour emergency service. Should you have an emergency, you will move to the top of our list. Please note that our pricing increases when we handle your work as emergency service. From storm cleanup to emergency tree removal, we are available and fully equipped to help. Call rather than email.

Equipment

Cranes from 65 to 150 feet

Reach is what this shop sells. A hazardous stem leaning over a roof in Bush cannot always be climbed safely, and a bucket cannot always sit in the yard. Lagniappe works the tree from a knuckleboom crane instead, picking limbs off the top and setting them down where there is room to cut them up.

With cranes ranging from 65 to 150 feet tall, tight and confined areas are not a problem. Climbers stay on staff for the trees that still want a rope, and the fleet is licensed, certified, and carries $2 million in liability cover plus $1 million in workers' compensation.

Getting started

How a free estimate turns into a cleared yard

  1. 01

    Call the shop in Bush

The number is (985) 893-1840, Monday to Friday between 7 am and 5 pm. After hours the phones switch to an answering service. If the tree is an emergency, call rather than email so it can be moved up the list.

  2. 02

    Take the free estimate

Lagniappe provides free estimates to the public, and Jamie meets clients himself. That is when the access gets judged: whether the stem can be climbed, whether the crane can set up, and how much reach the job actually needs.

  3. 03

Crane it, climb it, clean it

The crew arrives on time, protects the property and the plants around the work, takes the tree down or trims it back, and cleans up the debris that is left over. Stump grinding only happens when it has been contracted.
